These pistols are available in stainless 1911 in 9mm or .45 ACP, blued 1911 in .45 ACP and one surprising and welcome Canuck Browning Hi Power clone in a blued finish. Made by the Turkish firm Tisas, both pistols have been available in other markets for some time, and have been well received and well reviewed. The Browning HiPower clone is probably the most interesting of the two, especially as it is an exact clone of the earlier Browning HiPower, with a commander hammer and un-extended, non-ambi-dextrous safety. The HiPower comes with Tisas’ walnut grips, while the Canuck 1911s feature made-in-Canada bloodwood grips with a unique maple leaf grip texture engraved in each panel.
Two Year Warranty
- Stainless 1911 finish is gorgeous, far beyond what one would expect for a pistol in this price range. Also take note of the broadhead arrow markings and the made for Canada maple leaf bloodwood grips.
- HiPower style pistols are so close to the original that you wouldn’t know the difference to handle it other than to look at the grips
